Our Golden Ripples Gaiwan is a lidded cup for brewing and drinking tea from the same vessel, made from shadow-green porcelain, fired at Jingdezhen, and served with a saucer and two small cups. A pair of red koi face one another across the bowl, framed by blue ribbons and green tendrils, while a mystic knot rests inside at the base. The lid is banded in red and green and finished with a green-glazed, gold-ringed knob, and a gold band circles the foot. From our SHANGHAI TANG Golden Ripples Collection: our twin-fish and aquatic-flora design, hand-painted onto shadow-green porcelain and carrying the old wish for abundance year after year.
