Product Care

Care Guidelines

Cashmere
  • We recommend dry-cleaning all Shanghai Tang cashmere, especially when silk lined or embellished.
  • Treat stains as quickly as possible; rinse immediately with cold water: hot water may set the stain. If garments get wet, allow to dry away from direct heat, then brush with the nap. If stains persist, dry cleaning may be the only solution.
  • For machine washing, secure the garment in a tied pillowcase and set on gentle cycle, cool water. Do not spin, tumble or use the dryer. Once washed, on a flat surface, lay the sweater on a fresh, dry towel, until thoroughly air dried.

NB: Give garments a rest between wearing for at least 24 hours; wrinkles will vanish Otherwise, steaming will help take the wrinkles away.

Washing is recommended every 3 or 4 wearing wash and store all cashmere knits inside out.
