In autumn, we set foot on the fabled Huangshan — the ‘Yellow Mountain’ — on our journey through China to discover the most iconic plant-based scents. What welcomed us was a spectacular sight — a blanket of purple and yellow chrysanthemums cascading over the mountainside that towered into the clouds...
The herbal, earthy, elegant scent of chrysanthemums, the crisp tingle of the autumn breeze, the aromatic spices wafting out from the village was captured in the moment and distilled into Shanghai Tang's charming new fragrance — Chrysanthemum.
THE SCENT
Warm and autumnal, Shanghai Tang’s Chrysanthemum fragrance is a floral, aromatic bouquet stippled with spicy accords sure to delight those with a taste for oriental scents.
It opens with citrusy and leafy top notes of bergamot and eucalyptus with a dash of pepper, revolving around a heart of iris powder, chrysanthemum and sharp balsamic-spicy notes from elemi. A woody base of fir balsam, cedarwood and patchouli gives this therapeutic fragrance a grounded finale.

Volume: 250g Burn time: Approximately 45 hours BURNING INSTRUCTIONS Trim wick to 5mm (1/4 inch) before every lighting to ensure even burning. If the flame is too long the candle tends to smoke. Trim the wick should such occur. For maximum enjoyment of the candle, burn for 2-4 hours each time the candle is lit. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
