The newest short-sleeved qipao has been developed with a 3D cutting structure and a Chinese-style stand-up collar. Adopting a new tailoring technique the waist darts at the front have been removed to better display the feminine waistline, while the elastic pleats at the back hold the qipao's silhouette.
The outer burnout velvet fabric is soft at the touch and has a rich sheen, while the lining is made of high-quality elastic silk, which is smooth and silky at the touch, skin-friendly and comfortable.
The design pattern has been developed by using Shanghai Tang's classic ginger flower elements and combining them with the traditional Chinese butterfly pattern. The result is a smart combination of "ginger flower butterfly" which adds layering and texture to the clothing.
